Gary is a retired chimney technician and mason, with many years of experience in the industry. He is a Certified Heater Mason by the Masonry Heater Association of North America, and ex-CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep.
Gary has taught several classes for the MCSC in the past and has served on the BOD for the Midwest Chimney Safety Council and Masonry Heater Association.

Gene Padgitt is a 35-year veteran chimney technician and a master mason. He is the V.P. of HearthMasters, Inc. restoration company, co-owner of HearthMaters Education, and co-owner of Three Trails Cottages real estate investment company and the Ginger Rogers House Museum.
Padgitt has been a Certified Heater Mason by the Masonry Heater Association of North America since 2003, a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep since 1990, has a degree in HVACR Technology from Vatterott and Sullivan, is an NFI Certified Gas Specialist, a Private State Certified Fire Investigator, and a Licensed Master Mechanical Contractor in all jurisdictions in the greater Kansas City area.
Gene is one of "Those Guys" that is pretty good at almost anything from framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, stucco, masonry, and of course, chimneys, fireplaces, masonry heaters, and bake ovens.

Tom Grandyhas over 30 years experience in industry and small business. Marge is the author of The Chimney and Hearth Pro's Resource Book which is now in its third edition, The Homeowner's Guide to Chimneys Heating Appliances, and coming soon - How to Reline Chimney Flues, and Marketing a Successful Service Business. Other books are in the works.
Marge is a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep and NFI Certified Wood-Burning Specialist, and certified NFI trainer. She has spoken at the NCSG conventions, HPBA conventions, Midwest HPBA, BXI, MHA conferences, and multiple MCSC events as well as over 200 other conventions and meetings on various topics.
